Texas boasts some of the best sports franchises in the United States. The sports enthusiasm among the Dallas Cowboys fans rivals that of the Steelers. Texas is the only state in the union that reserved the right in their constitution to secede the union if they chose to do so. The political and economic environment in the United States right now has caused this idea of secession to be raised in political rallies known as "tea parties". The idea is talked about but no one with influence really believes this is a serious consideration but it has caused some tension in political circles. Texas also has a positive attitude about homeschooling and many people have left their home country to raise their children in Texas so that they can be given a Christian home school education. Texas has also become the benchmark state for energy deregulation. The state has deregulated the electricity service market as of 2002 and has continued to improve the process of working the electricity price down for the average consumer. Deep Ellum is a Dallas area clubbing district that was once the center of Neo-Nazi skinheads racial hatred during the punk rock scene but is now friendly to all races but continues to be a dangerous place. Fortune tellers, street preachers, homeless, street musicians, the sound of live bands and young gangs roam through the streets of Deep Ellum and create a diverse mixture of danger, excitement, conviction and fun. Houston Texas is also the energy hub of the state and was once home to energy giant, Enron. The weather in Houston can be very hot in the summer but has a large population and multiple job opportunities.
